This bill provides statutory authority for Executive Order 14220 and any action taken or regulation issued by any agency pursuant to the order. This executive order, issued by President Donald J. Trump on February 25, 2025, directed the Department of Commerce to investigate the effects of copper imports on national security under Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962.
